With swelling horns, a fuzzy bassline and an insistent vocals, its first track is  a world away from the
Elliott Smith-style acoustic ditty that heralded his last solo album.

“There’s a desperation in this song that stems from the feeling of being far away from someone and urgently racing to get back to them,” Dempsey says of the track.

“Almost in defiance of the motion of the planet and the passing of day and night.”
